Byarm Motor Works provides science, technology, engineering and mathematics (S.T.E.M) education services for youth and adults. We focus on creating fun S.T.E.M activities with a concentration on motors, engines and vehicles. Our programs build 21st Century skills by allowing participants to exercise their critical thinking skills, communication skills, creativity, problem solving, communication skills, innovative skills and more. 21st century skills refer to the knowledge, life skills, career skills, habits, and traits that are critically important to student success in today’s world, particularly as students move on to college, the workforce, and adult life. • Programs

  • STEMotorsports: Our STEMotorsports Program modules focus on motorsports as the context for teaching important 21st century skills and content knowledge through the use of problem-based learning. Students work in teams to solve a challenge or develop a solution to a given problem. Moreover, the fun and excitement of building a go-kart and then competing against peers is a powerful motivation for students to learn the science, technology, engineering and mathematics associated with the testing, tuning and prepping a go-kart for race day activities.  This program is for elementary, middle and high school aged youth.  

  • STEM Lab: Our STEM Lab participants operate as a research and development team to understand how and why things work and envision improvements. This program is for elementary school youth and middle school youth only.
